The Knute Nelson Foundation exists to create and nurture relationships with generous individuals, businesses, and grant-making foundations in the communities in which we serve.
The Foundation raises funds to support Knute Nelson and the mission of enriching the lives of everyone we serve. Gifts to the Foundation support programs, services, facilities, advanced training, community outreach, and innovative and high-quality care for the older adults we serve.
Giving is at the heart of all we do.
The Foundation nurtures a culture of philanthropy at Knute Nelson. The spirit of giving—also known as philanthropy—includes three broad and meaningful types of gifts. Gifts of time, gifts of talent, and gifts of treasure.
Supporters of Knute Nelson and the Foundation like you give these gifts in many ways every single day. We are so grateful to you—all of our supporters and every gift of your time, talent, and treasure you have so generously given over the years.
Your gifts, your support, and your investment in our mission of enriching lives have made a significant impact this year.
Because of your support, Knute Nelson provided benevolence care of $2.2 million. Our commitment to supporting aging adults enables us to provide high-quality care and services to residents and patients who are unable to pay for the total cost of their care.
Because of your support, Knute Nelson provided $202,000 in employee scholarships. Reinvesting in our workforce and promoting their higher education aspirations is a high priority at Knute Nelson and the Foundation.
Because of your support, we continue to grow as an organization; we now employ over 830 staff members (in addition to Knute Nelson employees, this includes staff who work at a residence or for a service managed by Knute Nelson).
Because of your support, the Knute Nelson Foundation has raised over $9.2 million since 2006.
