Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Spotlight
Residents at Grand Arbor, Nelson Gables, Autumn Cottages, and the Care Center enjoyed a new and meaningful program for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Two talented local residents, Val Trumm and Paulette Friday, created an engaging performance for residents based on Rev. Dr King’s life. Books that were appropriate for each community were distributed to residents, and refreshments were provided for social time after the performance.
This enriching program was possible thanks to funding through the Target Community Engagement Fund Grant. Target team members from the Alexandria store attended with Store Director and Knute Nelson Corporation Board member, Deena Steffl.
Enriching activities are a key offering across all of Knute Nelson’s housing communities. Above-and-beyond resident activities are funded through generous donations and grants to the Knute Nelson Foundation.
