Judy Johnson has been named the 2018 Knute Nelson Renaissance Award Recipient. The award honors an individual whose leadership and support to the Knute Nelson organization has been exceptional in addition to exemplifying the Knute Nelson mission and beliefs.
“Judy’s commitment as an employee and now as a volunteer has significantly impacted our organization and those we serve,” shares Mark Anderson, President/CEO. “It’s clear that she cares deeply for the residents we serve and holds the values of Knute Nelson close, which makes her very deserving of this award.”
Judy retired on September 1, 2012, after 22 years of working in dining services at Knute Nelson and began volunteering only 10 days following her retirement. During her time as a volunteer, she has generously contributed 2,000+ hours of volunteer service to Knute Nelson in many ways throughout the organization, primarily in wellness classes at the Care Center.
“We are grateful that Judy chooses to give her time and talents to the staff and residents at Knute Nelson,” says Katie Cass, Director of Development. “Each day she lives the mission of Knute Nelson and contributes so much to our organization.”
The presentation of the Renaissance Award took place during Knute Nelson’s Annual Donor and Volunteer Recognition event on November 13th.
