Knute Nelson Hospice - An Affirming Choice for Families
How this family found comfort with the support of hospice
As a loved one’s time draws near, family members oftentimes face a shroud of uncertainty. During the decision-making process, questions are only natural. Is it time to consider hospice care? Is my loved one eligible? Which hospice care team is best?
These are just a few of the questions Kathleen Schwantz-Dahl began asking herself as her father’s health declined. Ultimately, she placed her trust in Knute Nelson. Through her experience, we hope to shine a light on what specialized hospice care and life-enriching services could mean for your loved one and family during these trying times.
As you read, we encourage you to consider taking this hospice care assessment to determine if hospice care is the right fit for your loved one. In the words of Kathleen, “I didn't know much about hospice, but it really saved us. There’s no way we could have provided dad with the care they were able to give him.”
Navigating the Decision-Making Process
As you weigh the unique circumstances surrounding your loved one’s condition, quality of life, comfort, and peace are each key considerations. In many cases, the individuals and families served by Knute Nelson Hospice find that choosing hospice care early on makes the most meaningful difference.
