Partnerships
Working together to enrich lives
As a nonprofit Christian-based organization, Knute Nelson recognizes the value of partnerships to achieve a common goal and mission and work together to innovate the aging services industry. The power of partnerships allows us to accomplish so much more than on our own.
Education Partnerships
Some of the partnerships we have embarked on include working together with Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) to support workforce development scholarships to students and partnering with Alexandria Area High School (AAHS) to offer a pathway that enables students to obtain their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials.
These unique partnerships allow Knute Nelson to support the next generation of leaders and professionals that will be entering the workforce and serving our communities for years to come.
Intergenerational Programming
We have partnered with the Alexandria Area YMCA to provide an intergenerational childcare center at the Knute Nelson Care Center. The children in the childcare center visit the residents of the Care Center often for activities and call the residents their “grand buddies.” This partnership allows us to create an intergenerational experience for both our residents and the children of YMCA childcare.
Corporate Church Partnerships
Other partnerships we engage in are those with our corporate church partners. Knute Nelson is affiliated with 16 area congregations in West Central Minnesota. Their role is to elect our Corporate Board of Directors and help us strengthen our spiritual care programming.
